Our studio and some penguins...
That orange is so bright! I am loving Nick's prints in the rather large size..... I do love the penguins but the other super large print in our studio is my fav.... title... Large Animal. Is it a horse or is it a dog or is it something else that I haven't even thought of. Who can tell. Nick won't confirm either which way. Anyway, it doesn't matter, it always makes my day when I see it.

Pony Rider.... oh ah...
Yes, I am continuing my love affair with typography, this time with a new fav of mine: Pony Rider. The first is the Players Welcome - Bed Spread. And it looks amazing, so want to snuggle up in it! Check out more pics here. The second pic is the Sliced Type - Wall Dot. Easy way to add some interest to a plain wall. Gorgeous gorgeous.

A little trip into the city...
This weekend we (by we I mean Nick, our 2 boys and me) spent the day in the city. Did I ever mention how much I love our city? Well, yesterday was one of those days that confirms for me why Melbourne rules. Yes, I said rules. Sad huh. Anyway, so we planned to take the boys into Fed Square, maybe see the Tim Burton Exhibition or maybe just wander the gallery looking at really big paintings. We were making over way there when Nick mentioned a shop he wanted to see on Little Lonsdale Street called Design Dispensary. So after a little walk, a detour at a lovely bike shop who pumped up our nearly flat pram tyre (no charge - so nice!) and nearly being blown away by a very windy wind, we arrived on the door step of Design Dispensary. What a fab store. If you love unique, beautifully crafted designer wares, this is the place for you.
We were greeted by a very lovely store owner and we equally pleased when our 4 year old played happily with the Remember Paolo interactive game (see pics!) that was out to be played with (excellent idea!). He was so fascinated with this gorgeous game from Germany brand Remember Products that we were able to have a good sticky peak in the shop! Yippee.
Back into the gale force wind for another detour in to Outre Gallery and then a quick bite to eat down a marvelous Melbourne laneway and finally on to the gallery at Fed Square...... by this time it was nearly 5pm (closing time) oops. I guess we'll have to go back another day........

A Day on the Farm
at Collingwood Children's Farm! It was our littlest one's second birthday on the weekend and we celebrated with a visit to the farm. Nothing beats a large paddock to keep to little boys happy. Add to that a yummy lunch and we were a happy bunch.

Aladdin Artist Series...
It's very exciting when one of your favourite artists creates something unexpected.
Matte Stephens is part of this Aladdin Artist Series of water bottles and bowls. I love Matte's work and am lucky enough to own one of his prints. But how cool are these? The bottom ones are his. The top ones with the sweet birds belong to Amy Ruppel, also a successful artist from the Portland, Oregon. Now there's a town full of amazing arty types. The creativity there is huge. Maybe there's something in the water........
